As most of us know, New Belgium Brewing and Odell Brewing are two of the most prominent micro-breweries in Northern Colorado. Well, the two found this years Taste of Fort Collins to be the perfect venue to team up and release the "Tag Team Session Pale."

Apparently it was Odell that approached New Belgium this past winter about co-sponsoring this years 17th annual Taste of Fort Collins which is held in Civic Center Park in Old Town Fort Collins. Naturally if the two were partnering up to sponsor a special craft beer was to come shortly after.

Odell brewer Brent Cordle and New Belgium's brewer Patrick Murfin joined forces and collaborated on the Odell 5 Barrel brewing system to create the beer. According to both breweries the hops were provided by Misty Mountain Hop Farm in Colorado.

In addition to the new beer the breweries will also be serving other small batch beers for the event which takes place throughout the weekend.

This is the first year that only craft brewers have a presence at the festival. Coors originally sought interest in being the exclusive beverage provider for the event. Taste of Fort Collins organizers opted to work with the local breweries.

You can try out the new beer at this weekends Taste of Fort Collins. Odell also has the "Tag Team Session Pale" on tap in it's brewery.
