The final season of MythBusters notably suffered the lack of fan-favorite M7 Build Team members Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara, but leave it to a crack team of engineers to devise a new solution. The trio will return for a new Netflix series cryptically described as “MythBusters in Wonderland.”

Nerdist reports from DragonCon that the former MythBusters stars will launch new series White Rabbit Project, which will see the team “go down the rabbit hole on the internet” to test various ideas. Ahead of a December 9 premiere, a clip shown featured “Tory and Kari sitting down for some wine, except Tory is strapped up to a bunch of wires and Kari is attempting to control his arm movements remotely.”

So reads a synopsis from Deadline:

In the Netflix series, the three head down the rabbit hole to investigate weird and wonderful events from pop culture, science and history. Under their microscope are topics as diverse as jailbreaks, superpower technology, heists and crazy world war two weapons. In each episode the hosts immerse themselves in experiments, builds and tests as they sleuth the truth behind these and other well googled themes.

Back in 2014, MythBusters casually tacked on an announcement that Bryon, Bellecy and Imahara were no longer with the series, which was going in a “new direction” for what turned out to be the show’s final year. The Science Channel was supposedly looking to restart the series with new hosts, but stay tuned for the latest on The White Rabbit Project as it arrives.
