I am starting a new feature called, Movie Review Monday, and I will be reviewing a movie every Monday. Sometimes it will be new movies and sometime I will dig up some oldies or just some that you have never heard of. This week's review, the new action flick 'Contraband'.Starring one of America's all-time favorite boy band icons, 'Contraband' brings the heat this movie-going season. Mark Wahlberg, (or as many of us remember, 'Marky Mark') plays an ex-smuggler who is thrown back into the game when his family is threatened by old enemies. With his selected cohorts at hand, Wahlberg's character reluctantly jumps back into thievery and  mayhem to pull off a heist to save his family.

I definitely enjoyed, and highly recommend this movie. It brought back a nice nostalgia of the 'Italian Job', with the grit and grime from 'The Departed'. Wahlberg's character, although an ex-criminal, was relatable, and cleverly developed throughout the story. While some plot twists were predictable, it did not take away from the excitement of the movie at all. The movie had some violent moments mixed in with profanity. Nothing too shocking but not kid friendly by any means.

I give this movie 4 out of 5 buckets of over-priced popcorn!
