Siphoning gas from other people isn't a nice thing to do. Siphoning it from a cop car is just asking for trouble. Posting a picture of yourself doing it on Facebook is just plain stupid!

A Kentucky man is facing misdemeanor charges after doing just that.

According to the Smoking Gun, the 20-year-old gas thief was trying to steal gas from a Jenkins Police Department squad car when his girlfriend took a picture of him committing the crime and that photo was posted to his Facebook account.

Once police got a hold of that they arrested the kid for ’unlawful taking’.

He has since taken the picture down but this is 2012, once you put something up on the internet…it’s always going to be here.

Somehow, I don’t think he learned a lesson from all of this though. Recently he gave these updates to his Facebook friends.

  • “just got out of jail,”
  • “yea lol i went too jail over facebook.”
  • “yea lol u would just have to seen it it was funny as hell tho.”

A petty thief who steals from cops that doesn’t know how to spell or use capitol letters…hmm, imagine that.

(Psst...by the way buddy, I'm pretty sure that you went to jail over stealing gas, not over Facebook. You just got caught because of Facebook.)
