Morgan Freeman is Alive and Well, Despite What Facebook Says!

This morning when I got onto Facebook I noticed something that made me a little sad in my news feed. It said one of my friends commented on a picture of Morgan Freeman and it had the title, R.I.P Morgan Freeman. I said to myself, “No!” So I clicked on the Facebook page and was taken to looked to be a tribute page. I couldn’t find any substantial info on the page so I resorted to Google. A simple search of just “Morgan Freeman” brought the answer I was looking for with the first 3 results.

He is alive! And apparently this isn’t the first time that the internet has claimed he was dead. The internet page that I mentioned earlier, ‘R.I.P Morgan Freeman’ was created on September 5th and in the description it states that ,”At about 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, our beloved actor Morgan Freeman passed away due to a artery rupture. Morgan was born on June 1, 1937. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”

This is a hoax. Morgan Freeman is alive and well. Another hoax making its ways on the internet that involves the famous actor is the rumor that he voiced the audio book for ‘ 50 Shades of Grey’. That is also false.

Freeman also faced fake death back in 2010 when Twitter went crazy with the fake news. Freeman isn’t the first one to have someone claim his passing. Other “victims” to fall to death hoaxes on the internet include, Gotye, Bill Cosby, Justin Bieber and Jeff Goldblum.
