If you are driving by Loveland High School on Thursday and happen to notice a bunch of emergency personnel on-site, don't worry, it's all planned and everything is alright.

On April 20, the Loveland Police Department will be working alongside other local agencies to simulate a mock car accident in the parking lot of Loveland High School. The organized incident will take place around 11:45 a.m. and the west parking lot will remain closed during this time. This drill is part of the "Every 15 Minutes" program, which is designed to dramatically show students the dangerous consequences of drinking and driving, and to demonstrate the serious injuries it can potentially cause. The fake traffic collision will include staged emergency responses from police, fire, ambulance, tow truck and helicopter crews. These agencies want the public to be in the loop about what's going on so that no one actually calls to report or question a real emergency taking place at this location.
