The town of Middleborough, Massachusetts has had enough of people swearing in public.  Citizens voted Monday to make offensive language punishable by a ticket and $20 fine.

Officials insist the proposal was not intended to censor casual or private conversations, but instead to crack down on loud, profanity-laden language used by teens and other young people in the downtown area and public parks.

The measure has already raised First Amendment issues with some opponents, but most of the townspeople seem to think it's a great way to remind people of what's acceptable public behavior, and what isn't, according to HuffPost Weird News.
