When my twins were born at 36 weeks, they both went immediately to the neonatal intensive-care unit (NICU). One spent 10 days there and the other spent 6 weeks in the hospital. This was the most scary, sad and stressful time of my life. I take comfort in knowing that March of Dimes is out there to help prevent this scenario for others.

The March for Babies is put on by March of Dimes. The walk will happen in Fort Collins this Saturday, April 26th at Edora Park. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. If you or someone you know has been the parent of the thousands of babies born everyday that are premature, small or very sick, then the mission behind this event should speak to you. Why we walk

When you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to nearly half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. We’ve been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2.3 billion to benefit all babies.
