A man was arrested Saturday morning for attempting to rob a uniformed cop on duty with a straight razor, according to authorities.

"Officer...officer...empty your pockets!" said Joshua Muniz, 24, as he approached officer Daniel Merviz on the A train platform in downtown Brooklyn.

Mervis turned around, saw Muniz holding a razor, and told him to put the weapon down. When the man rejected the officer's order, Mervis pulled his weapon.

Muniz eventually relented and was taken into custody. He faces attempted robbery and weapons possession charges.

What's even more eery is that, due to the absence of a blade in the razor, police believe Muniz was hoping to commit suicide by cop.

Muniz was expected to undergo a psychological examination on Saturday, officials said.
