Major Road Closures In Fort Collins This Weekend

Road construction season continues this weekend in Fort Collins, and I bet there are going to be more than a few aggravated drivers that get blindsided by the closures scheduled for Harmony Road and Lemay Avenue.

Read on to find what out will be closed when, and avoid some hectic weekend traffic.

According to FCGov.com,  on Saturday (July 7) Eastbound Harmony will be closed from Boardwalk through Lemay. And Lemay Avenue will be fully closed at Haxton, just south of Harmony.

And then on  Sunday (July 8th), Westbound Harmony will be closed from Wheaton through Lemay. And Lemay will be fully closed at Wheaton Drive, just north of Harmony.

Detour routes will be available on College, Timberline, Horsetooth and Trilby. Signs will be clearly posted and flaggers will be present. The intersection will be open by 6 a.m. on Monday, July 9.

Don't say I didn't warn you. Driving on that side of town could get pretty ugly this weekend.

FCTrip Traveler Alert: With all the rain over the weekend, crews weren't able to do the paving work on Harmony and Lemay as planned, so a new schedule is in place this week starting Wednesday, July 11 and lasting through Saturday, July 14.
