Ticer's previous position was Police Chief in Avon, CO. for six years and "is credited for the use of body worn cameras for community engagement work that brought police and residents closer together". Before coming to Colorado, Ticer had a 20 year career with the Arizona Highway Patrol and did a four year tour of duty with the United States Air Force as security police.
