A school bus transporting students from Loveland High School and Lucile Erwin Middle School was delayed for an hour Wednesday (January 27, 2016) due to a "discipline issue."

According to the Reporter Herald, the bus came to a stop on 57th Street, east of Taft Avenue, at the railroad crossing. The bus was at a standstill for an hour while the bus driver attempted to resolve the situation.

What exactly occurred on the bus is still unknown, but in accordance to state law, "any time an issue occurs that impacts the safety and security of students or the ability of the bus driver to operate the bus safely, bus drivers are instructed to stop the bus until the situation can be resolved."

Both the Larimer County Sheriff's Office and the Thompson School District are looking into the situation.
