Do you have what it takes to be a police officer? What kind of skills do you need to deal with some of the very serious situations police face? You can find out in Loveland.

As the Coloradoan reported, the Loveland Police Department will be holding a citizen's academy and they way you to sign up.

What is the academy?

It is a seven-week course that will give residents an up-close look at police tactics and the challenges and situations they face.

The group will meet Thursday nights beginning October 1st.

You must be at least 18 years old and live, work or volunteer in Loveland, as well as pass a background check.
