Loveland Police Investigating Attempted Child Abduction Of 12-Year-Old-Girl

Loveland Abuduction Suspect
Loveland Police Department

Loveland Police are looking information in connection with an attempted child abduction. Please share this photo and spread the word. If you have any info that could help them catch the creeps that tried to take a 12-year-old girl while riding her bike home from school Monday afternoon (May 6th, 2013), please call police.

According to a Loveland Police press release, the 12-year-old was riding her bike home from Lucile Erwin Middle School, near 43rd Street and Georgetown Drive a blue delivery van with a white top and some sort of yellow emblem or writing on the side slowed down beside her bike.

Then a man in the passenger seat repeatedly asked her to get in.

Thankfully the girl rode away but fell on her bike. A teenager walking nearby came to her aid after the fall, unaware of the attempted abduction. He made sure was okay and walked away. When he showed up the men in the van took off. The girl then rode home and told her father, who then called police.

The two men in the van are described as:

  • 30-40 year-old Hispanic male, with short black hair. (Driver)
  • 30-40 year-old white male, with brown shaggy hair, wearing a white tank top and had a large tattoo on his right bicep and shoulder area. (Passenger)

Police would like to speak to the teenager who helped the girl, as well as anyone who may have information about the teen or the two men in the van.

If you have any info please call Detective Roberts at 970-962-2032, or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
