It’s the largest Valentine’s Day celebration in the United States.  Last year over 24,000 people packed the streets of downtown Loveland (America’s Sweetheart City).  Now this weekend the Loveland Fire and Ice Festival is taking back over the streets of downtown Loveland.

The festival will run:

Friday, February 12th – 5 pm to 10 pm

Saturday, February 13th – 10a – 10 pm

Sunday, February 14th – 10 am – 10 pm

There will be pre-made sculptures, and five teams will compete in an ice sculpting competition.  Each team will have 20 blocks of ice to create a sculpture with the theme The Yin and Yang of Light and Dark.” 

Musical Performances: Steve Manshell Band, The Jurassicasters featuring Dave Beegle, Taylor Scott and Nic Clark, The Joe O’Brien Band, Mary Sue Thompson, RB Cole, David Beegle, Musketeer Gripweed Band, Liz Barnez Trio, Jeremy Landis Band, Rebeka McWhorter, Ryan Millard, Grace Kuch, Marty Nightengale, Paradox, DJ DC, Mountain City, Emma Marie, and Jason Downing Duo. Be on the lookout for flash mobs throughout the event.

There will also be fire and light artists/performances including:

Also, part of this year’s festival there will be a special Harry Potter vibe.  Tickets are on sale now for Tea Time with Devon Murray and Paula DuPre’ PesmenYou may remember Devon from the Potter movies as he played Seamus Finnigan.  DuPre’ Pesmen was an associate producer of the first three Harry Potter films.  They will hold a Q&A and tell stories of their experiences working in the world of Potter.

During A Magical Moment with Devon Murray and Paula DuPre’ Pesmen, Devon Murray and Paula DuPre’ Pesmen will be sharing their stories and answering fan questions. Each ticketed guest will be entered to win an Alivan’s Scarlet Falcon broom signed by Paula and Devon.

A Fire and Ice Motor Vehicle Showcase will showcase unique vehicles including ATVs, snow cats, cycles, fire trucks, and more.  An individual car on display will be the Weasley family car from the first Harry Potter movie; you can grab a picture for a small donation to the non-profit “There with Care.”

A fireworks display will happen each night of the festival.  The main stage near Railroad will be the ideal spot to grab a seat.

The kids are not only going to love looking at all the sculptures, listening to the great music but there will also be a carousel at the family fun zone which is located on 4th St. between Lincoln and Jefferson.  Free carriage rides will also be available.
