Is it a matter of public safety on the roadways or is it just a revenue generator?  That is the question that is up for debate.

Republican Senator Scott Refroe, of Greeley, has introduced a bill to ban red light cameras & photo radar vans in Colorado.  This first time he attempted this was in 2012, but he is at again, this time though, he has the backing of several prominent Democratic lawmakers.

There was a report by the Denver City Auditor, that Refroe cited, that didn't show the impact of either program on public safety.

The Denver Channel originally reported on this story.

What are your thoughts on this?  Should they stay or go?
