The Food Bank for Larimer County is in urgent need of frozen turkey donations. As of Monday morning, they had received just 300 turkeys. The agency partners who distribute the turkeys have requested 2,500.

Food Bank for Larimer County’s annual Thanksgiving drive is happening now through November 17. Each year, the Food Bank collects, stores and then distributes frozen turkeys to agency partners, including Vineyard Church, the Family Center, House of Neighborly Service, Matthews House and Crossroads Ministry in Estes Park. These and other partner agencies, in turn, provide holiday meals and/or holiday meal baskets to families needing assistance. In addition to turkeys, the Food Bank also provides holiday “fixins,” including packaged stuffing, canned yams and cranberries. Agency partners have requested 2,220 bags of side dishes or the equivalent of about 15,000 pounds of goods.

Poudre School District Turkey Roundup

Poudre School District's annual turkey round up is on Wednesday. Over the past couple of years, the PSD community has generously contributed 1,500+ turkeys. Even with their help, the Food Bank is concerned that they will be 700+ turkeys short of their goal. They start distributing turkeys to their agency partners this Thursday so we are running out of time.

Where to Drop Off Donations

Donations can be dropped off at the Food Bank, 1301 Blue Spruce in Fort Collins, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm on the north side of the building.
