A longtime deputy with the Larimer County has been fired after both an investigation into the alleged hit-and-run by Loveland Police and internally by the Sheriff's Office.

As the Coloradoan reported, Sheriff Justin Smith has decided to terminate Sgt. Isaac Nail's employment. The decision came after the results of an internal investigation into the deputies alleged actions on March 29 when he was involved in a hit-and-run.
