I love Kraft Singles. I will eat a square right out of the fridge as a snack. My wife won't eat a cheese sandwich unless it is made specifically with Kraft Singles. Now I guess we are supposed to be worried that the Kraft Heinz Company is voluntarily recalling Kraft Singles with select code dates and manufacturing codes, but most likely it's not for a reason you might think of.

Individually-wrapped slices of Kraft Singles are being recalled due to the possibility that a thin strip of the individual packaging film may remain stuck to the slice after the wrapper has been removed. If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could potentially be a choking hazard. I'm no rocket surgeon, but if I have plastic stuck to my cheese, I pick it off.

The recall applies to 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product with a Best When Used By Date of 29 DEC 15 through 04 JAN 16, followed by the Manufacturing Code S54 or S55.

It affects retailers in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Grand Cayman.
