Kanye West’s ‘Runaway’ Used in Bud Light Platinum Super Bowl 2012 Commercial
Kanye West‘s ‘Runaway’ from his last solo album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ was used effectively in the Bud Light Platinum Super Bowl 2012 commercial, titled ‘Factory,’ which aired during the first quarter of the big game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots.
West’s song provided the background audio for a somewhat sterile spot where a cobalt blue bottle is shown being engineered in a clean, cold and lab-like factory. It certainly makes one think that a bottle of Bud Light Platinum is a quality, high end brew that classy types drink. Who’d have thought that Bud Light could be so posh? It’s all about the packaging.
The spot made us picture Yeezy with a blue bottle in hand.
