I know there are tons of lawyer jokes and that they aren't the most repsected profession, but for a judge to punch one... wow.

John Murphy, a judge in Florida’s Brevard County, got into a physical altercation with public defender Andrew Weinstock after they got into a heated exchange in court Monday.

Murphy reportedly punched Weinstock after he allegedly tried to get Weinstock to convince his client to give up his right to a speedy trial:

Murphy: You know, if I had a rock I would throw it at you right now. Stop pissing me off. Just sit down."
Weinstock: You know I'm the public defender. I have a right to be here and I have a right to stand and represent my client.”

Then, things took a turn for the even more bizarre when they both retreated to a hallway – where there are no cameras. That’s reportedly where Murphy threw a punch.

No Charges are expected to be filed.
