JonBenet Ramsey’s True Killer Revealed? [VIDEO]
Nearly 20 years after JonBenet Ramsey's murder, the case has taken an interesting twist involving a man who died less than 2 months after the tragic incident occurred.
Private investigator Ollie Gray says he knows of "3 or 4 people who should have been investigated earlier and still need to be investigated," something he revealed in an interview on Today. One most notably is a man named Michael Helgoth, 26, who was "basically a hellraiser," according to Gray.
Helgoth worked at an auto salvage yard on the outskirts of Boulder and died just 2 days after the district attorney announced the list of suspects had narrowed in January 1997. He was found dead in his home from a gunshot wound to the head, which was ruled to be self-inflicted, according to Inside Edition.
At the time, Helgoth was not a suspect. Instead, investigators and the media focused on JonBenet's parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, for years until DNA evidence proved they were not involved in their daughter's death.
Now, Gray says he believes it's possible Helgoth's death was not suicide, but rather homicide, telling Inside Edition this twist is worth looking into.
According to the New York Daily News, Gray says the gun used in Michael Helgoth's death was located on the left side of a right-handed man, and a co-worker claims he'd talked about earning $50,000 to $60,000 on a "killer deal" and said he "wanted to crack a human skull" in the months leading up to JonBenet Ramsey's murder.
"I don't think Mike did all this by himself. I think there was more than one or 2 people involved," he said.
To this day, who really killed JonBenet remains a mystery, though the investigation is still open, Boulder Police spokeswoman Shannon Cordingly tells the New York Daily News. "We receive information on a regular basis that is evaluated."
