Saturday, March 15th 2014!  Get your green on, and join everyone in downtown Fort Collins for the annual Sharin 'O' The Green 5K!

It's one of the biggest 5Ks in the area, a Bolder Boulder qualifier, it benefits a great organization and.... it's a blast!

Dress in your favorite Irish attire- (Green suspenders perhaps?), gather your friends and get ready for the Sharin 'O' The Green 5K to benefit Partners Mentoring Youth on Saturday March 15th! I've been in the event just a couple of times over the last few years, but I plan on being in at all that I can from here on out!  It's a ton of fun in downtown Fort Collins- just a lot of great folks out early on a Saturday to get their 'fit' on before heading over to the annual Lucky Joe's St. Paddy's Day Parade!

From the organizers:

The course is fast, flat, USTAF certified, a Bolder Boulder qualifying course, and chip timed. Wear your finest green to show off your Irish pride and support a great cause! After the race stay downtown and enjoy the St. Patrick's Day Parade! After the race stay downtown and enjoy the St. Patrick's Day Parade and a beer on us from Odell Brewing Company at the beer garden in Old Town Square!

The kids will get things underway at 8am on Saturday, with the official 5K starting at 8:30.  Partners Mentoring Youth hopes to raise $10,000 with the event- so sign up!

I like to have a great Irish name for each year - this year, through this website, my name is Owen Campbell. I like it- a strong Irish name goes a long way towards a great finish! But for later in the day, (St Paddy's festivities) I'll use the name from the classic name generator below- "Bunyon McWhiskey"!
