We've got a situation here.

A situation I kind of figured would be on the way.

When the Jersey Shore hit TV, I admit, I was one of the millions that couldn't just look away. Then, millions started finding it's way into the cast member's pockets. Not a shock in America. This kind of wacko story has been happening all my life (see Pet Rock, et al).

It's characterized by a meteoric climb to fame and glory that doesn't seem to make very much sense, followed by a spectacular flame out as they burn up on re-entry.

Well, for Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, the meteoric rise took him way high. He had all the women he could handle, his abs were more famous than his name, and during the heyday of the Jersey Shore he made millions, just for being a slightly annoying Guido, and for making phone calls like the one above.

Apparently, he didn't hire the right CPA, because he is facing some pretty hefty tax charges. According to People, he was in Jersey federal court to face charges that he didn't pay taxes on almost $9 million.

That's could be a lot of time in jail. But just imagine how much time he'll have to work on his abs. He'll be jacked.
