Developed by Italian designer, this new minimalist, wooden eco-friendly bike, would fit perfectly into the Fort Collins landscape. But is it worth the hefty price-tag?  The WooBi (translated page), is made for city living and focuses on "pure pleasure," combining wood and the bicycle. According to Supercompressor, built with shock-absorbing wood and weather-resistant carbon fiber tensile cords, the Woobi can handle anything the rugged city streets can dish out. Even cooler, due to the products that are used and they way the bike is constructed, there is no need for things like regular maintenance and even lubricants like oil. The Woobi does however come at a hefty price-tag of almost $8,000, and will be available this summer. So, with people wanting to be eco-friendly, and with the bike culture of Fort Collins, do you expect to see a rash of "wooden" bikes around Old Town?
