iPad 3 Release Predicted in March, Possibly a Mini iPad?

Apple is famous for keeping new products under wraps until unveiled, but the roomers have been swirling again that the release of iPad 3 could happen in March. According to tech insiders, the upgraded device is likely to feature higher-resolution and possibly more memory?

There is also information indicating that Apple might release a smaller version of it’s infamous device. Could it be a mini iPad? Apple has dominated the tablet market, but other companies like Amazon and Samsung aren’t too far behind.

Is there a market for an iPad mini?

“It makes sense,” said Ezra Gottheil, who watches Apple for Technology Business Research, Inc., outside Boston. “What they’re seeing is a large number of smaller, cheaper tablets, and they want to be in on that market.”

But while Apple dominates the tablet business with the 9.7-inch iPad 2, Samsung and Lenovo have apparently done well with smaller tablets.
