Old Town Square has not always been a fixture of downtown Fort Collins.

Back in the day, it was just Linden Street. In 1985, the change from a regular street to a pedestrian mall happened. Since then, Old Town has become the center of the downtown Fort Collins Universe.

What was it like before the Square was there?

I talked to Lori Juszak from Fort Collins Tours, Robert Bisetti, whose family has owned Bisetti's Restaurant since before the inception of Old Town Square, and Todd Dangerfield of the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority. Their reflections and perspectives in the video above paint a great picture of what things were like from then to now.

The familiar building at the start of Old Town Square. It has housed many things, most formerly Beaujo's, and now The Kitchen.

The video above is filled with great historic pictures courtesy of the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. Their photo history of the area is a ton of fun to peruse.

Check back soon for more on the changes that will be made to Old Town Square through 2015.
