You might have been heading somewhere on Interstate 25 and got stuck in traffic due to the road being closed for around 9 p.m. on Sunday night.

The interstate at mile marker 267 was closed in both directions for about an hour after a marijuana transaction went bad after the suspect brandished a weapon according to Fort Collins police spokesman, Officer Matt Johnson.

Initially, the transaction happened near the intersection of Horsetooth and Timberline roads when one of the parties involved allegedly had a weapon. Fort Collins police are working in conjunction with Longmont police investigating a similar incident earlier in the night in Longmont.

As of late Sunday night, the suspect(s) have not been located.
