If you were planning on using I-25 north of Fort Collins this afternoon, you might want to think about alternate routes. As of 2:36PM CDOT has closed I-25 in both directions due to high winds and multiple accidents and there is no estimated time of re-opening yet.

***UPDATE The highway was re-opened in both directions around 4:45PM***

This is what they have posted as of 3PM:

Closed because of incident and strong winds. No estimated time to reopen. Road closure began December 10th, 2013 at 2:36pm.

We'll keep you updated as to when it re-opens. Until then you may have to rely on Highway 287 or Highway 85 to get you back and forth between Colorado and Wyoming. ***UPDATE*** Good news, the highway is open again! This just came in from CDOT:
