The City of Greeley Museums will host Homesteader’s Holiday on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Centennial Village Museum, 1475 A St.  This event includes candle-dipping, craft-making, holiday music and several of the museum’s homes will be open and decorated for the holiday season.

This year, six additional decorated homes have been added to the museum’s holiday tour. Santa will be on-site for photo opportunities and visitors can check out a model train layout provided by the Colorado Model Railroad Museum.

Food and Beverages

Food and beverages will be available for additional purchase with proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Greeley Museums, an organization that provides support to the City of Greeley Museums.

Entertainment

The event entertainment schedule includes live performances in the museum’s Old Centennial Church. Enjoy piano music from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., several local Young Chautauqua members portraying important historical figures from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., church organ music from 1 to 1:45 p.m., and a performance by Leo Everett at 2 p.m.

Young Chautauquan performances include Vince Wojurfin as Audie Murphy, America’s most decorated soldier from World War II, Cole Herrick portraying Alexander Hamilton, and Margaret Herrick presenting as Agatha Christie.

Admission

Admission for Homesteader’s Holiday is $4 per adult, $2 for children and seniors. Children ages 12 and under get in free with each canned food donation for the Weld Food Bank.
