Hit and Run in Fort Collins Tuesday Being Investigated After Teenager Injured

A reported hit and run accident in Fort Collins Tuesday morning seriously injured a 16 year old teenager in Northwest Fort Collins.

According to the Coloradoan, emergency crews were called to the scene around 7:30am just east of the intersection of Taft Hill Road and Laporte Avenue. Office Matt Johnson of the Fort Collins Police Department told the Coloradoan that the 16 year old boy was walking west on the north side of Laporte Avenue when the westbound vehicle crossed the bike lane and hit him.

Officials are now looking for a dark colored, late model sedan. There is the possibility that it has damage to the right front corner of the vehicle. The teenager was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with serious injuries. His name hasn't been released by the authorities.
