Highway 392 Closed Thursday & Friday, How To Get In To Windsor And Avoid The Detour

Well, we were all expecting the closure and the detour that came along with Highway 392 being closed today, but road crews will have to make more extensive repairs than they were anticipating and will have to close 392 on Thursday and Friday as well.

Read on for more details and for tips on how to get around the detour.

Highway 392 (Main Street), will be closed from County Road 3 to County Road 13 from 8AM to 6PM both Thursday and Friday of this week. This is an update from CDOT:

Wednesday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, June 8: SH 392 will be closed from Larimer County Road 3 to Larimer County Road 13, requiring motorists to travel north to Jacoby Road for a detour.

For anyone coming into Windsor, that can be a timely detour if one is not expecting it. And I'll bet a lot of people will be coming in to check out the All Town BBQ and Summer Concert Series kickoff Thursday night.

How else can/should you get to Windsor from the west to avoid the detour?

• From Fort Collins you can take Harmony Road (Country Road 74) or Mulberry Road (Highway 14) all the way east and turn south on Highway 257 (This become 7th Street once you get in to Windsor).
• From Loveland you can take  Crossroads Boulevard east and you'll hit the roundabout that is 7th Street in Windsor, or you can continue on until it dead ends at Highway 257 in Water Valley.
• You can also take Highway 34 east and turn north at County Road 17 (which will become 7th Street), or stay on 34 until you hit Highway 257.
