According to The Denver Channel, Subaru manufacturers are issuing a worldwide recall, warning 2016 and 2017 Legacy and Outback drivers that they should not drive their cars due to a steering malfunction.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration: An incorrect setting of a tool used in production of the steering column may have resulted in improper machining of one of the steering column shafts. If this improper machining condition exists, the steering column shaft may not engage properly. If this were to occur, the steering wheel may rotate freely and the driver would lose the ability to steer the vehicle.

Owners of makes and models under recall should take their car to a dealer to be serviced as soon as possible. For more details on the recall, see the full story at thedenverchannel.com.

Meanwhile... drive with caution in Fort Collins because those things are everywhere.
