I have been hearing a lot of buzz about the new show that is on Netflix so I decided to check it out.

First, this is not your normal show that would be on Netflix. Netflix is known for showing movies and past seasons of tv shows, but they are quickly making a name for themselves by putting out original content! They had a huge success with the Kevin Spacey show 'House of Cards' and now they are trying their hand in the supernatural/horror genres with the Eli Roth directed 'Hemlock Grove'.

I saw the description for their new original series 'Hemlock Grove' and it instantly peaked my interest. Here is the description:

A teenage girl is brutally murdered, sparking a hunt for her killer. But in a town where everyone hides a secret, will they find the monster among them?

A vague description, I know but still, it got me curious.

After watching only the first episode, here are my first impressions. It has potential.

It started out a bit weird to a point where I was wondering what I was watching. Honestly you can get lost pretty easy in the very beginning with the jumping around and random scenes but towards the end of the episode, everything starts to make sense. The end of the episode made me want to keep watching so they did a really good job keeping my interest up. The characters are definitely interesting and the story seems thought out rather than rushed. I think the more I watch the more I am going to be hooked.

The best part about this is that you don't have to wait a week for new episodes because they are all available now!

Overall I would say if you are a fan of 'American Horror Story' or 'Twin Peaks' you will probably like it because it feels a lot like those. Also, there is language, nudity and gore. You've been warned.
