Mac 'n cheese is one of life's great comfort foods, but if you're about to rip open a box and cook it up you might want to make sure yours hasn't been recalled.

According to 9News, about 74,000 cases of boxed-pasta products are being recalled because you might find a surprise in the seasoning packets. A surprise of small metal fragments.

What kind has been recalled?

9News says the recalled products include King Soopers and Kroger brand "Macaroni & Cheese Rich n Creamy" and "Macaroni & Cheese Three Cheese" varieties, as well as Walmart's "Thick and Creamy Macaroni and Cheese." You can see the entire recall product list here, from the FDA.

This is a voluntary recall, but I know I'm going to go home and check mine. Biting into metal fragments doesn't sound like a fun time.

June 6, 2012 - Based on information received from Kerry Ingredients & Flavours, Bay Valley Foods is voluntarily recalling approximately 74,000 cases of boxed pasta mix products manufactured by its subsidiary ST Specialty Foods, Inc.
