On the same day that he set a new record, Peyton Manning was benched with head coach Gary Kubiak stating he never should have started his star quarterback in the first place.

It all came in the middle of a humiliating loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Sports Authority Field on Sunday, 29-13.

With just over six minutes left in the third quarter on Sunday, Kubiak pulled Manning after he threw his 4th interception of the game. Brock Osweiler was inserted into the lineup immediately and finished out the game for Denver.

Manning was 5 for 20 passing with only 35 yards to go along with those four interceptions.

Osweiler finished 14 of 24 for 146 yards and threw a touchdown and an interception.

Coach Kubiak stated after the game as well that if Peyton is healthy next weekend, he will be the starting quarterback for the Broncos.

Either way, it was the first time in his career that Manning has been benched halfway through a game. Which makes you wonder, will the Broncos really start Manning if he is healthy next weekend?
