From an elderly woman in a motorized cart going the wrong way on the road to a person leaving the hospital with an IV still in their arm, the Greeley-Evans Crime Log has it all.

As the Greeley Tribune reported, sometimes you just have to wonder what some people are thinking.

Tuesday, April 21

12:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the U.S. 34 bypass and 23rd Avenue for a report of an elderly woman in a motorized cart rolling westbound in the eastbound lanes of traffic.

4 p.m.: Evans police responded to the 3200 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a bag of Goldfish crackers left on a resident’s doorknob.

4:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 400 block of 35th Avenue after receiving a report a woman left a nearby hospital with an IV stuck in her arm.

Wednesday, April 22

1:15 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2200 block of 28th Avenue for a report of a man howling at the moon.

9:15 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the intersection of 11th Avenue and 8th Street to check on a man who looked “like he’s in pretty bad shape.”

10 a.m.: Evans police responded to Larson Avenue to speak with a resident who had questions about how much outdoor space a couple of goats and a llama require.

11 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 3900 block of 21st Street for a report of animal feces in the fireplace.

12:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 14th Avenue for a report of a family of snakes living under a resident’s deck. The snakes were scaring the mailman.

5:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 1900 7th Street for a report of a squirrel foaming at the mouth. Officers told the caller the squirrel would likely die in a few hours. They advised the resident to throw it in the trash when it did.

5:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 7th Avenue at 14th Street for a report of a man who urinated himself and couldn’t stand up.

5:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to Paintbrush Drive for a report of three goats without tags eating grass.

8:30 p.m.: Evans police responded to Trinidad Street for a report of a man walking up and down the sidewalk who looked like, “he was ready to do something.”

8:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to the 600 block of 31st Street for a report of a marijuana grow in a trailer at an RV storage business. Once on scene, officers told the manager marijuana was legal now in Colorado. The manager said he would just 86 the owners of the trailer.

Thursday, April 23

1:15 a.m.: Greeley police responded to a grocery store in the 2100 block of 35th Avenue for a report of a man who walked in wearing leg shackles, but was otherwise dressed in civilian clothes.

11:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to a report of a party taking place in the bushes in the 1000 block of 10th Street.

4:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 3300 block of 68th Avenue Court for a report of a prairie dog stuck in a window well

Friday, April 24

6:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to 33rd Street for a report of a man who was eyeballing children, seemed shady and “smelled like marijuana.”

Saturday, April 25

4:30 p.m.: Dispatchers received several butt dials from a phone in Evans. During one of the calls, dispatchers heard someone yell, “Yeah, hot box.”

Sunday, April 26

Midnight: Greeley police responded to a motel in the 700 block of 8th Street after employees reported a man walked in inquiring about another man known as “Hill.” The man said Hill was a child molester. Motel employees told police the man had a hammer in his pocket.
