The gift of hearing, I know about this all to well. It has been something I have lived with personally and with family for my entire life.

Hearing. It is something a lot of people take for granted on a daily basis. But what if you never had it, or you lost it. It can make this world a very tough and scary place to live in.

My Mom has been deaf since birth, and I have a fluctuating hearing loss that I have had since I was a little kid.

Growing up was pretty tough at times because of some of the obstacles that people who have hearing problems or loss, find themselves having to face on a daily basis. Could you carry on a full conversation with someone if all you had to go off of was reading their lips?
