Despite the fact that gas prices in our neck of the woods haven't been nearly as high as some places, it's still been hard on our wallets to fill up at the pump.  Well, it seems relief is finally in sight.

According to an article in the Fort Collins Coloradoan,  gas prices are slowly declining; in Fort Collins, and the rest of the country.  On Sunday, the average price of gas in "The Fort" was $3.46 per gallon, down from $3.49 last week.

In other parts of the country, like Texas, prices have fallen to below $3 per gallon.

"When economies slow," the Coloradoan says, "demand for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel falls as drivers cut back on trips, shippers move fewer goods and vacationers stay closer to home."  All this equals lower prices for the rest of us.

So fill up your tanks now, while the gettin's good!
