October 13 is coming soon, and for those who are fans of breakfast-- especially when it's free-- will want to plan to hit Illegal Pete's before afternoon rolls around.

Last year, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock declared October 14th Free Breakfast Burrito Day, a celebration of not only free food (yum) but also of the blending of Mexican and American cultures in Denver (Source: 303 Magazine). This year, the holiday falls on a Saturday (the 13th), giving us plenty of time during the day to celebrate our love of eggs, chorizo, bacon, potatoes, and whatever else you want in your burrito.

Thanks to the success of years past (according to their newsletter, last year Illegal Pete's gave away 4,000 free burritos to the masses!) Free Breakfast Burrito Day continues this year at all Illegal Pete's locations (except for The Hill, which doesn't serve breakfast).

The burritos will be given away from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., so make sure you set your alarms and mark your calendars.
