Fossil Ridge Girls Basketball In Championship Game, Boys In Final Four

It's a big week in basketball for the Fossil Ridge SaberCats of Fort Collins. Last night the girls team defeated Grandview 65-54 to advance to the 5A State Championship for the first time ever. Meanwhile, the boys play tonight in a final four match-up, trying to advance to a state title game of their own.

The girls rallied behind senor Savannah Smith and her 23-points to come out on top of Grandview. Click here to see pictures from the 5A semi-finals. They will now play against defending-champion Regis Jesuit at 3 p.m. tomorrow (March 15, 2014) in Boulder. (Regis is the team that knocked Poudre out of the tournament.)

The boys final four game is tonight (March 14, 2014) at 8:30 p.m. against Mountain Vista, with the winner facing either Denver East or Overland.
