It's true that three our of five staffers at the Downtown Business Association have turned in their resignations and the DBA board will review the job performance of Executive Director, Michael Short, but the staffers will remain at the DBA through the NewWestFest Festivities.

Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest is the largest event held in downtown Fort Collins throughout the year. According to the Coloradoan, the assistant director, membership and volunteer coordinator and events employees will stick around until after the big festival. In fact, the assistant director, who has been with the DBA for 13 years will continue to work with the DBA on certain projects.

DBA board chairman, Jason Barrett told the Coloradoan that the board is grateful for the work the staffers have done for the nonprofit group and that the DBA has never had a finer reputation.

The board is set to meet with Executive Director Michael Short Thursday, Aug. 7.
