Just a few weeks ago I told you about a restaurant in Wheat Ridge that started a no-tipping policy. The trend has now come to Fort Collins. Do you think it will make a difference?

As the Coloradoan reported, the days of trying to figure out what you should or should not tip are gone at William Oliver's Publick House.

Say what?

Starting on September 1st, a no-tipping policy will be introduced and wages for the employees will go up as well.

This will make the first restaurant in Fort Collins to introduce this policy.

What do tipped employees make right now?

In Colorado, tipped workers must earn a minimum wage of $5.21. The federal tipped worker wage is $2.13.

So how does this mean for the customer?

Slightly higher menu prices, but no service fee. However, if customers do decide that they want to tip, starting in September, the money will be donated to a charity.

So this looks it may be becoming a trend. So to sound off on both sides...

If you are a tipped employee, do you think this makes the most sense and would it change your service?

If you are a customer, would you expect different service because of this or would it make a bit of difference to you?
