Fort Collins’ Newest Breakfast, Lunch Restaurant Opens in Old Town

Fort Collins residents can add another breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot to their list of "places to go," and it's located at a historic Old Town location.

A Cut Above, founded by business partners Michael Patterson and Andrew Bohnenkamp, opened last week at the old post office (vault included), 160 W. Oak Street.

According to the Coloradoan, A Cut Above serves breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It has an espresso machine, 6 beer tap lines, and wine and cocktails available, too.

Bohnenkamp tells the Coloradoan their operations have an "emphasis on speed," as they realize customers may not have long lunch breaks from work.

One thing you won't find at A Cut Above? Frozen meals.

"I'm not someone who is satisfied with pre-made or frozen meals," head chef and former Rio kitchen manager Gale Williams told the Coloradoan, adding, "We have a lot of classic deli items but put our own twist on it."
