Open house dates for the Mormon temple in Fort Collins have been announced, providing the public with a rare opportunity to see the inside of a Mormon temple.

Before the temple on Timberline and Trilby is formally dedicated on October 16, non-LDS members can take a look inside between August 19 and September 10, except on Sundays, reports the Coloradoan. Tour and reservation details will be announced around 2 weeks before the open house at templeopenhouse.lds.org.

Once the temple is dedicated, non-LDS members cannot enter the sacred structure. Only LDS members "in good standing" will be allowed to participate in temple events like weddings and baptisms.

The temple will serve LDS members in Northern Colorado, southeast Wyoming, and western Nebraska. According to the Coloradoan, it will be the second temple in Colorado.
