Adam Dickinson, 26, has been arrested by police in Fort Collins after an investigation went underway from Boulder Police.

Dickinson has been accused of stealing $15,000 in rare beers produced by his former employer Avery Brewing Co. in Boulder, Colorado. Investigation found that Dickinson was selling some of the rare brews on eBay.

Police say that his former manager at Avery originally suspected him of the robberies and some of the bottles stolen had a value of up to $300 a bottle.

After a warrant was issued for Dickinson's home police had found over 500 bottles inside his home all with a value of $100 to $300 a bottle. During investigation police had also found that Dickinson had been giving the bottles to current co-workers as gifts.

 

 

 

Amung the stolen brew's discovered were:

  • Isabelle Proximus beer ($200/bottle)
  • Duck Duck Gooze beer ($100/bottle)
  • Rogue Old Crustacean beer ($100/bottle)
  • 2001 Rogue Old Crustacean Barley Wine ($100/bottle)
  • Black Tot Barrel-Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout ($300/bottle)
  • Sui Generis Barrel-Aged Sour Ale ($300/bottle)

At the time of his arrest, Dickinson was employed at Black Bottle Brewing which is located in Fort Collins. Black Bottle Brewery fully cooperated with the investigation and the founder has stated, “We had no idea of what he’s accused of was happening until recently, and we were 100 percent compliant with all authorities involved. We’re extremely upset about the allegations, and we don’t condone the activity in the allegations.”
