Flooding is happening all over right now and we want you to stay safe!

Obviously stay out of flood waters. They are usually faster than they look and they carry tons of debris. If driving, also avoid them because they could be deeper than they look. Also, if you don't have to go anywhere, don't. Just stay home.

Listen to rescue officials and law enforcement. If they tell you to move, you move. Also, don't go around barriers. They are there for a reason.

Shut off power to the basement, electrical hazards are the biggest concern.
If you have a gas water heater and water is up to the bottom, shut it off.
Don't use your furnace, the moisture can short it out.
