Fire Department Called In to Avoid Hazardous Spill After Truck Rollover Greeley [PICTURES]
A tractor trailer rig rolled off a ramp Wednesday morning at Highway 85 and Highway 34 Bypass in Greeley. The Greeley Fire Department was called in because of a potential hazardous spill. The tractor trailer was hauling pressurized liquefied petroleum gas.
None of the gas had leaked from the tank. However, some of the trucks diesel fuel and motor oil had leaked onto the highway and fire crews placed absorbent material onto the spilled liquids to keep it from flowing into the surrounding ground.
Fire crews were able to extricate the driver from the cab and he was then transported to NCMC by paramedics.
