Dogs are awesome - SO awesome that there's a festival in Nepal that thanks them for being man's best friend.

Kukur Tihar, which means "dog festival," is held once a year in Nepal, where dogs are believed to be messengers of Lord Yamaraj, the God of Death.

People decorate the dogs with garlands and tilaka (a mark worn on the forehead and other parts of the body), give them yummy food, and acknowledge the loving relationship between humans and dogs.

Watch this dog named Lucky get honored through a ceremony at Kukur Tihar.
