Much to my surprise, Colorado actually has quite a list of famous movies that were filmed right here in the Centennial state. Films all the way back from John Wayne's True Grit to some of today's most recent movies have had scene's filmed in Colorado.

Dumb and Dumber:It's no surprise that this one partly took place in Colorado as the story line of the film has characters Harry and Lloyd (Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey)traveling to Aspen. The filming sets were located in Aspen, Breckenridge, Estes Park and Fort Morgan.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade:Yup, Harrison Ford along with the late River Phoenix shot scenes right here in Colorado in Alamosa, Cortez, Pagosa Springs and the famous train scene of the film was shot at Cumbres & Toltec Railroad in Antonito.

Die Hard 2: Yippee-Ki-Yay! The old Stapleton airport was the setting for the second film in the Die Hard franchise. Bruce Willis and cast also shot scenes in Breckenridge and the Highlandlake church in Mead.

Blades of Glory: This comic film starring Will Farrell and John Heder (born in Fort Collins) shot scenes right here in Colorado. Some of the main scenes in the film were shot on the same ice that our Colorado Avalanche play at Pepsi Center in Denver.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie starred in this film as a married couple and secret assassins hunting each other. A Portion of scenes from this film took place at the Hanging Lake tunnels in Glenwood Springs.
